Regular Season Standings
The House League program provides opportunities to play basketball for players of varying abilities. The primary objectives of the house league program are to foster appreciation for the game of basketball and promote fundamental skill development. In order to accomplish this, the program has been structured to provide all participants with ample opportunities to have fun while also providing adequate time for structure and development. This philosophy is consistent with the fundamental principle of equal/fair play which we strongly support at NYB. What this means for our participants and the parents of NYB is that all players will be given equal and fair opportunity to develop their skills and participate in all aspects of the game.
The house league will operate on Saturdays between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. It is open to boys and girls between the ages of 4-13 and will be divided into appropriate age groups. Sessions for each age group will be 75 minutes in length, each consisting of 30 minutes of skill development and a 45 minute game. The scheduling of time slots for each age group will be determined following the completion of the registration process in September.
All participants in the house league program will receive a uniform t-shirt, basketball, individual and team photo, and medallion. More importantly however, we believe that participating in our league will give all players the opportunity to meet and make new friends, have fun, and get better at the great game of basketball; things which will last a lifetime!
